History

Originally a market town and flourishing into a town known for light industry, Feltham has been associated with transport for over a century. Today, Feltham has transformed into an urban landscape, with housing and commercial prospects intertwining. The latest development in the area, New Road Triangle, was created as a bridge between the station and the central town, with Sapphire pleased to provide the balconies bringing the residential landscape together.

Streamlined by Design, Delivered by Sapphire

New Road Triangle was developed by Lampton360 in line with the London Borough of Hounslow’s strategic goals for Feltham. Their aspirations included improved connectivity from the local Glebelands Playing Fields to the Station and town centre, improved frontage along New Road and towards Feltham Station and the need for a ‘landmark building’ to mark the arrival at Feltham Station.

Key constraints found by Lampton360 were staying sensitive to the living conditions of the nearby Station Estate whilst simultaneously creating an eye-catching building to act as a landmark for Feltham Station.

Alongside architect Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands, Sapphire designed balconies featuring a perforated panel design in an aesthetically pleasing red polyester powder coating. The panelling was designed to meet the ‘landmark’ building requirements from the London Borough of Hounslow’s strategic goals for Feltham, whilst not overstepping boundaries for the nearby Station Estate.
