Charity Bike Ride Support By Sapphire Staff for the British Heart Foundation
On Saturday, 5 members of Sapphire staff supported the British Heart Foundation‘s charity bike ride from London to Reading. Nick, John, Ruth, Hannah and Jo all lent a helping hand distributing food and refreshments to the riders provided by the Rapid Relief Team.
The bike ride from London to Reading is approximately 40 miles winding through picturesque villages and countryside all the way into Reading. The British Heart Foundation funds research into heart disease and other heart and circulatory conditions through donations and fundraising events like bike rides and other challenges.
The bike ride has generally been an annual event which has for a number of years been supported by the Rapid Relief Team, who offer free food and drink on a donation basis not a charged basis. Our team continually support the RRT and have attended this event time after time.
Well done to the staff who helped out and a big congratulations to all the Charity Bike Ride participant’s who raised funds for such an important cause!
The video below shows our team members in action. This is only one of the honourable ways in which we live our values and support good solid charitable causes. You can see more of our activities and who we support here.
