Key Accountabilities

Job Specific

  • Assist and support the Quality Manager with the effective day to day management of supply chain and product quality.
  • Coordinate the logging and resolution of Non-Conformance Reports, to ensure robust corrective actions are established and implemented.
  • Assist with the Corrective Action Requests and Root Cause Analysis
  • Coordinate the communication of technical files and specifications
  • Promote QESH principles and a Customer Focus throughout the company
  • Follow through quality actions to ensure closure.
  • Assist rework activities on site if snags become apparent to delivered products.

Audits & Reporting

  • Carry out internal and supplier audits across the business and the supply chain
  • Completion of reports for supplier visits

Quality

  • Verify Supply Chain product quality

Key Performance Indicators

  • All audits completed no more than week after due date and closed out within the agreed time
  • Completion of tasks, on time and in full, as assigned on the task planner
  • Effective resolution of non-conformance reports on time and in full

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

Experience

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role in a Quality capacity within a manufacturing, engineering, or ideally a construction environment
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, (with awareness of BSEN1090, ISO 14001, ISO
  • 45001)
  • Experience of working within an external supply chain led business would be an advantage
  • Experience of mechanical engineering and assembly techniques
  • Experience of health, safety and environmental legislation within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
  • Construction experience would be an advantage
  • Experience of and happy with extensive travel

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving License, preferably clean
  • CSCS (SMSTS or SSSTS preferred)
  • Formal engineering qualification (graduate engineer preferred but not essential)
  • Internal auditor to ISO9001 (lead auditor would be an advantage)
  • A formal H&S qualification would be an advantage (IOSH / Nebosh)
  • Formal Risk Assessment training would be an advantage

Skills

  • Competent in all aspects of office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Organized, thorough and have a keen eye for detail
  • Good communicator both written and orally
  • Skilled at carrying out investigations, root cause analysis and auditing.
  • Competent in reading and understanding technical, engineering drawings
  • Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Confident of working within a Goal focus and KPI lead team
