Challenge

The original contractor for the project at Greenwich Peninsula M117 went into administration resulting in the developer taking over construction. This could have caused a number of issues regarding the ownership of any parts and products. Another challenge arose when the crane position meant it was not able to install all of the balconies.

Solution

We manufactured and stored 151 Cassette® balconies at our Winchester production facility ahead of time. The vesting of these balconies had been manufactured ahead of time and were in storage at the Winchester production facilities, which meant there was continuity when the developer took over construction, avoiding extra hassle and any delays. As the crane was unable to complete the install, a telehandler was used to glide some balconies on from the roadside.
